Prizes won in group dance competitions in 2009:
* All-India dance contest of Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh ( Pune):
1st prize in senior and 2nd in junior in the Classical Duo category,
1st prize in junior and 2nd in senior in the Classical Group category
1st prize in junior and in senior in the Semi-Classical Group category
1st prize in the Folk dance, 1st prize in the Modern dance
* 1st prizes in Concern India's competitions in Bharatanatyam in 2008 and in 2009
Uma Ramachandran was born on 20.01.1994 . She has been learning Bharatanatyam since 1998 and giving many performances. Uma likes listening to music,surfing the Net,collecting stamps and reading.
R. Varsha, student of Sri Devi Nrithylaya started learning Bharatha Natyam at a tender age of 6.
She has performed in temples throught South India Karthik Fine Arts, Chidambaram Natyanjali Festivals, Delhi Sangam and the famous classical danc shows Mazhai Madaigal and Thaka-Dimi-Tha in Jaya TV. Varsha has also done solo performances in Palghat (Kuda) and VDS Arts Academy, Chennai. She won the 1st prize in the Junior group in Bharathanatyam dance competition conducted by Sivan Arts Academy (2005)
T. Sri Varsha, is an upcoming versatile girl with a strong vision of becoming a great
dancer. Thanks to her parents and also her institution for having taken pain to nurture a deep attachment to the classical dance at a very early age.
She has won the first prize in the district level competitions conducted by Jawahar Bala Bhawan in which more than 75 dancers participated. Varsha considers this to be very prestigious and esteemed one, as she received this from the Tamil Nadu Govt.

II prize in the State level competition held in Tanjore, I prize in Chennai district level ogranized by Javahar Bala Bhavan , I prize in the Junior category in the State level competition conducted by BSNL Cultural and Sports Wing, the 2nd prize in Bharathanatyam dance competition conducted by Sivan Arts Academy (2005)

VidyaLakshmi won 1st prize prize in Thaka Dhimi Ta (Jaya TV) and the Bharat Kalachar scholarship. She participated in many group productions of SDN, and gave many solo performances.
Simran Sivakumar:
got the 1st prize in the junior category at the Classical Solo dance contest of Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh ( Pune, 2009)
has been winning the 1st prize in the junior category at all-India dance competitions held in Hyderabad in 2008 and 2009 by Navya Nataka Samiti
won the 1st prize in the Talent search Bharatanatyam competition organized by Concern India
got the 1st prize in Tamilnadu state level competition by Jawahar Siruvar Mandram in the age group 9-12
is the winner at a dance competition held by Kanakasabha, Bombay
has won 1st prize in 'Thakadhimitha' - Jaya TV
3rd prize at the National Level for dancing, in the Sub-Junior category for Bharathanatyam, conducted by Gopinath Das Nyasa Prabat Trust, Bangalore.
won the YGP memorial award from PSBB for being the best actor
won the Ranjani Rajan Memorial Award as the best dancer 2004-2005
Mridula Sivakumar:
the 1st prize in the sub-junior category at all-India dance competitions held in Hyderabad in 2009 by Navya Nataka Samiti
has recently clinched the 1st prize for Bharathanatyam at the National Level for dancing, under the Sub-Junior category conducted by Gopinath Das Nyasa Prabat Trust, Bangalore. She is also the 1st prize winner in 'Thakadhimitha' organised by Jaya TV.
